Haemorrhoids

What are Haemorrhoids?

Haemorrhoids are common and occur at any age There is also a direct association between haemorrhoids and a highly-refined low fibre diet. This causes constipation, that leads to straining at stool. Increasing the fibre content of the diet will prevent constipation and relieve the symptoms of haemorrhoids.

Haemorrhoids are a condition where the cushion of veins in the lining of the anus are congested and enlarged. Less severe haemorrhoids can be managed with simple treatments such as injection or banding which can be performed in the clinic while larger ones may require surgery.
